Okay, So, I got a message as follows from a teacher.

“I got a deal, you in dawg?”

What do you mean that’s not realistic? Alright, fine… it was more like “Sankarshan, you are selected… blah blah blah blah…do you want to participate?”

I bet YOU’RE fun at parties…

Anyways, I asked what any person would ask, “How much and when?”, “40, in a week”.

A week? 7 days’ plenty of time. Till you realize it’s a goddamn MUN. 7 days is not enough. 7 days is never enough time!

A sane person would decline.

Sane I am not.

But that's fine, I told myself. I requested Ma'am to be in UNHRC [United Nations Human Rights Council], it is a more chill and easier committee. Basically easy difficulty. The committee assignment was at 5, so when the time came I opened my email, and prayed, my heart was like "Ah crap here we go again". And then I opened the mail,

UNGA- Argentina

rgds

K.M. Exam Co-Ordinator 069 6942069" [Not real name and number for what I hope are obvious reasons]

What follows;

Heart: So, should I call an ambulance or the funeral parlor ?

Me: . . .

Heart: *dialing*

Unknown, in a low cracked voice: Ronald's Impeccable Parlor, How can we help ?

Okay, no seriously, what do you mean "rgds" ? BRUH! How and why are you writing "rgds" in a official, formal mail ? Is writing "regards" THAT much harder ?

Anyways, I got UNGA [United Nations General Assembly]; the second hardest committee, equivalent to fighting the wither in hardcore with a steering wheel. It has a lot more reading, and I DO mean, I lot more.

So, here I am, reading. SO MUCH READING AAAAAAAH. There are 19 chapters, and each chapter has anywhere from 7 to 15 articles… and that’s ONE of the documents I need to read. Adding to my misery is the fact that it is written in the most overly posh, and annoyingly complicated lawyer’s English.

And then there’s the cross referencing, Oh my lord so much cross referencing ! it goes like this;

“Article 69: All member states may take a preliminary vote to set out the agenda if the chair so wishes in subject to the exemptions of Article 420 and Article 666, but this decision can be vetoed by the veto states in accordance with Article 3000” [This is not a real article(shocker), for example only.]

So, to read this one article, I need to open 3 others!

BTW, did you know UN has merch?

You see what I mean? too much. But I mean the reason I joined is, after this learning part, it’s pretty fun. [I think] So, I cannot wait.

Now, for this update, I shall end it here, I understand it is super short, it’s so short it makes Napoleon seem like Shaq, but again, I DO have to read that, so imma head out.
